BandLogic ("we", "us") provides AI-powered IELTS practice via our website and Android app. This page explains what we collect and why. By using BandLogic you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information — when you sign in (e.g. with Google or phone), we receive your email address and a user ID via Firebase Authentication.
- Practice submissions — the audio you record and the text/essays you submit for evaluation, along with the resulting scores and feedback.
- Usage data — how many evaluations you've used, your plan, streaks, and similar product data stored in our database.
- Device & cookies — standard technical data and cookies/identifiers used for sign-in, preferences, and advertising.
How we use it
To provide and improve the service — transcribe and grade your practice, track your usage limits and subscription, save your history, and keep the app secure. We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
To deliver the service we share the minimum necessary data with trusted providers:
- OpenAI and Microsoft Azure — to transcribe audio and generate evaluations and feedback.
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, and analytics.
- Google AdMob / AdSense — advertising in the app and on the website. Google may use cookies/identifiers to serve and measure ads; see Google's policies for details and opt-outs.
- Payment providers (e.g. Lemon Squeezy and local payment methods) — to process upgrades. Card details are handled by the provider, not stored by us.
Advertising choices
We show ads to users on the free tier. Pro subscribers and users who purchase "Remove Ads" do not see ads. You can manage ad personalisation through your device settings and Google's Ads Settings.
Data retention & your rights
We keep your account and history while your account is active. You may request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your associated practice history.
Children
BandLogic is intended for users preparing for the IELTS exam. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
